Service · Card payments

Card payments, set up properly.

We help independent UK businesses get set up to take card payments — the machine, the paperwork, the installation, and someone to call afterwards.

Most business owners don't want to become experts in card processing. They want to take payments reliably, understand what they're being charged, and know who to ring when something stops working.

That's the job. We handle the application and the checks, get the machine working on your counter, show your staff how to use it, and stay reachable afterwards.

No fee from us

You don't pay us anything.

There's no fee for a conversation, no fee for a quote, and no charge from us at any point. We don't add anything on top of what the payment provider charges you.

We're paid a commission by the provider when a business we've introduced goes live. That's the whole arrangement, and we'd rather tell you than have you wonder.

So if you talk to us and decide to stay where you are, that's a perfectly fine outcome. It costs you nothing to find out.

The machines

What you'd be getting.

Three types of machine, depending on how you trade. All of them take chip and PIN, contactless, and phone wallets.

01

Handheld terminal

A portable card machine with a receipt printer built in. Runs on WiFi or mobile data, so it goes to the table, out to the van, or down to the market stall. Good for table service, mobile trades, and anywhere the customer isn't standing at a counter.

02

Countertop system

A compact all-in-one till for the counter. Takes payments, prints receipts, and handles the daily jobs — refunds, tips, end-of-day totals. Suits shops, salons, takeaways and anywhere with a fixed serving point.

A generic unbranded full point-of-sale system with a main screen, customer-facing display, cash drawer and receipt printer on a bar counter.

03

Full point-of-sale

A larger till with a separate customer-facing screen. Built for busier sites: table plans, stock, staff logins, printing straight to the kitchen. Worth it where the till is doing more than taking money.

Accessories

Cash drawers, barcode scanners, kitchen printers and terminal stands are available where you need them.

Good to know

Faulty or damaged machines are replaced free of charge in most cases.

What we do for you

What's actually included.

  • 01

    The application

We complete the paperwork with you rather than emailing you a form and hoping.

  • 02

    Verification checks

Business and identity checks are a legal requirement. We tell you exactly what's needed and chase the gaps.

  • 03

    A visit to your premises

We come and see the business in person. It's part of the checks, and it means the setup actually fits how you work.

  • 04

    Installation

We set the machine up on site and make sure it's taking payments before we leave.

  • 05

    Staff training

A walkthrough for whoever's actually using it — sales, refunds, tips, end of day.

  • 06

    A person to call

You get a direct contact rather than a queue. For faults and account queries there's a dedicated merchant helpdesk, and we'll tell you when that's the faster route.

The process

How it works.

    01

    A conversation

Twenty minutes, in person or on the phone. What you sell, how you take payments now, what's not working. No cost and no obligation.

    02

    A quote

We come back with pricing based on your actual card mix and turnover, not a generic advertised rate.

    03

    Paperwork and checks

We complete the application together and collect what's needed for verification. This is the part that slows things down, so we do it properly first time.

    04

    The provider's decision

The application goes to an approved UK payment provider, who makes the decision on whether to open the account and on what terms. That decision is theirs, not ours.

    05

    Setup

Once approved, we install the machine, test it, and train your staff.

    06

    Afterwards

We stay in touch. If something changes — a second site, a new machine, a query on a statement — you call us.

What we'll ask for

What you'll need to hand.

Getting these ready speeds things up considerably.

  • Proof of the business at its trading address — a recent utility bill, business rates bill, bank statement, lease or current processing statement
  • Business bank account details in the business's name, with a statement or paying-in slip to confirm
  • Photo ID for the owner or director — passport, photocard driving licence or national ID
  • Proof of address for the owner or director, dated within the last three months
  • Company details, including anyone owning 25% or more
  • Your website address, if you sell online

If you trade from home, from a market stall, or rent a chair, there are slightly different requirements and we'll walk you through them.

Straight answers

Things worth knowing upfront.

How long is the contract?

Machine agreements typically run for either 36 or 48 months, and the monthly price depends on which you choose. We'll tell you the exact term and the exact monthly figure in writing before you sign anything. If a longer term doesn't suit you, say so.

What will it cost?

Rates depend on the mix of cards your customers use, your turnover and the type of business, so an advertised headline rate would be meaningless. We'll quote properly once we know those things. Alongside the transaction rate there are standard account charges — things like authorisation fees, chargeback fees and a monthly service charge — and we'll set all of those out in the quote rather than letting you find them on your first statement.

Will I definitely be approved?

No, and anyone telling you otherwise isn't being straight with you. The provider makes that decision based on their own credit and compliance checks. Most businesses are approved. Some sectors can't be supported at all, and we'll tell you early rather than waste your time.

Can you get me a better rate than my current provider?

Sometimes. Sometimes not. We'll look at your current statement and tell you honestly. We don't set the pricing, so we're not going to promise a number we can't stand behind.

How long does it take?

It depends mainly on how quickly the paperwork comes together. Having the documents above ready is the single biggest factor.

What if the machine breaks?

Faulty and damaged machines are replaced free of charge in most cases. Ring the merchant helpdesk, or ring us and we'll point you the right way.

Being clear

What we are, and what we aren't.

Daryadel Merchant Solutions Ltd is an independent consultancy. We introduce businesses to an approved UK payment provider and handle the process of getting you set up.

We are not a bank, a card scheme or a payment processor. We don't approve applications, we don't set processing rates, and we can't agree terms on any provider's behalf. Those decisions sit with the provider, and your agreement is with them.

What we do is the work around that: getting the application right, getting the machine in and working, and being contactable afterwards.

A quiet suggestion

Have a look at what you're paying now.

Send us a recent processing statement and we'll tell you what we see. If you're already on a decent deal, we'll say so.

Daryadel Merchant Solutions Ltd is an independent consultancy and is not a bank, card scheme or payment processor. We cannot approve applications or set processing terms. All rates and account terms are set by the payment provider and confirmed in your agreement with them.
